The mission of Hope House, Inc. is to respond to needs in the community to provide education, intervention and treatment to persons whose lives have been affected by any form of chemical dependency or family dysfunction. The Board of Directors and staff are dedicated to providing an array of high-quality residential, outpatient and community-based services that are developmentally focused to both adult and youth populations. These services are provided irrespective of color, creed, age, national origin, marital status, disability, arrest/conviction record or ability to pay. All services strive to empower each individual and family to achieve their highest level of functioning. In addition to enhancing the quality of life of the persons it serves, the agency is committed to providing a supportive and professional work environment for its staff.

Begun in 1967 by a group of volunteers led by then Father Howard Hubbard, Hope House responded to the housing, emergency food, and neighborhood needs of an inner city community. Fueled by compassion, this small group of concerned citizens began a legacy of helping people restore their own lives that continues today.

Hope House, a non-denominational agency, was the first in the area to utilize professional staff in a program for people recovering from alcohol and substance addictions. Hope House has evolved into a nationally recognized, multi-service agency providing a range of high quality, community based treatment services.

Hope House is an intensive, full-immersion therapy program, caring for adult patients in the Hope House Bette Center, teens in an Adolescent Residence, mothers-in-recovery at the Women and Children’s Center…all supported by an Outpatient Clinic and a Community Services staff.
