St. Joseph's Addiction Treatment & Recovery Centers, a not-for-profit corporation, was founded by the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement and provides inpatient, outpatient and community residential alcoholism and substance abuse services. While primarily located in New York's Adirondack region, St. Joseph's provides services to clients living throughout New York State.

A sixty three (63) bed freestanding inpatient facility is located in Saranac Lake, N.Y., and outpatient clinics are located throughout Franklin and Essex Counties in Saranac Lake, Malone, Elizabethtown and Ticonderoga. A community residence is located in Poughkeepsie, NY.

The mission of St. Joseph’s is to promote healing and recovery for individuals, as well as their families, suffering from the illness of alcoholism and chemical dependency. We offer these services with a commitment to providing effective, professional and quality treatment. Our services are enhanced by our belief in the spiritual nature and inherent dignity and worth of each individual.

St Joseph's is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Licensed to provide inpatient and outpatient alcoholism and substance abuse treatment by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS).

Associated with the New York State Association of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers (NYSAASAP); the New York State Association of Alcoholism Recovery Homes; the Association of Halfway House Alcoholism Programs, Inc.; the Catholic Health Association (CHA); and the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP)
